2008
  • Mr. Nishina was appointed President & C.E.O.
  • Became a member of Schott group as a result of the tender offer bid.
 
2007
  • Moritex Corp and Schott AG of Germany signed an agreement on forming a capital and business partnership in the fiber optics business.
  • Opened the sales office of Moritex Europe Ltd. in Munich, Germany.
  • Shinzhen factory obtained ISO14001.
  • Established Moritex Singapore Pte Ltd.
 
2006
  • Opened east coast sales office of Moritex U.S.A. Inc. in Boston.
  • Opened West-Tokyo Branch.
  • Mr. Morito resigned from the board.
  • Agreed to set up PGx Testing Subcontract Analysis Center for GLP in corporation with GeneticLab Co., Ltd.
  • Closed bead business
 
2005
  • Moved Tsukuba Branch.
  • Partnered and tied up with Sensor Technology Co., Ltd.
  • Started subcontract service for Gene Expression Profiling by Bead Array technology by Illumina.
  • Partnered with GeneticLab Co., Ltd. to do gene expression profiling service, develop diagnostic equipment and chips and to help drug discovery.
  • Shenzhen Factory obtained ISO 9001.
  • TM Project Headquarters obtained ISO14001.
 
2004
  • Took over the business of NLE to reinforce Moritex Bio scientific business.
  • Moved Osaka Branch.
  • Saitama Factory and Yaita Factory obtained ISO14001.
 
2003
  • Consolidated 4 factories into "New Yokohama Technical Center".
  • Built "New Saitama factory" by consolidating Tamagawa and Urawa factories.
  • Mr. Morito assumed the chairmanship and Mr. Morita was appointed President & C.E.O.
  • Invested on Moritex Precision Corporation to make it an affiliated company.
 
2002
  • Consolidated Moritex Canada Inc.'s operations into Moritex U.S.A. Inc.
  • Increased Capital in three overseas subsidiaries, Moritex U.S.A. Inc., Moritex Europe Ltd. and Moritex Hong Kong Co., Ltd.
  • Revised to new organization focusing on 4 head quarters and opened Tokyo Branch and Yokohama Branch. Expanded the operations of Tsukuba sales office and renamed it the Tsukuba Branch. Consolidated the Tamagawa and Urawa factories into a single Saitama factory.
  • Opened the first bead shop "Cavian" and entered glass bead retailing business.
  • Dissolved Moritex Koden Corporation.
  • Completed Shenzhen Factory in China.
 
2001
  • Received orders for DWDM Automated Optical Alignment Systems from Lucent Technologies (current Agere Systems).
  • Expanded Fukuoka sales office to Fukuoka branch. Changed the name from Kanto Branch to Kita-Kanto Branch.
  • Opened Osaka Branch and Higashi-Kanto Branch.
  • Dissolved Light Pipe Co., Ltd. Transferred factory operations to Moritex Hong Kong.
 
2000
  • Agreed to invest 1,000,000 US dollars into the development of etrema alloys with Edge Technologies Inc.
  • Established Moritex Canada Inc.
  • Established Moritex Hong Kong Co., Ltd.
  • Established Moritex Sales., Inc.
  • Yaita Factory obtained ISO9001.
    • Moved and expanded Urawa Factory.
  • Established Yokohama Factory.
  • Received large orders for DWDM Automated Optical Alignment Systems from Marconi Optical Components.
  • Listed in the 1st section of Tokyo Stock Exchange.
